'HUGE Rise in Chicago Crime Due to Black Lives Matter' Says Former P.D. Chief
By now it's common knowledge that Chicago is the suckiest of leftist pits. Rivaled by Detroit, of course. Despite loads of gun control, the city has seen an upward surge in violent crime. Surprise. And guess who's to blame? It starts with a 'B' and ends with a 'lack Lives Matter.' Double surprise. To LwC readers, this revelation is shockingly unshocking (see New Data Directly Correlates #BlackLivesMatter To Rise in Chicago Homicide).
But we're not the only ones to have noticed. Former Chicago police chief, Garry McCarthy, also has a lot to say on the matter of Black Lives Mattering...
“So what’s happening, and this is ironic, is that a movement with the goal of saving black lives at this point is getting black lives taken, because 80 percent of our murder victims here in Chicago are male blacks. Less than half of 1 percent of all the shootings in this city involve police officers shooting civilians.”
Turns out all that crime? It's a direct result of a “political atmosphere of anti-police sentiment" caused by... You guessed it, your friendly, neighborhood Black Lives Matter.
Look, nobody is saying that all BLMers themselves are trading in their pitchforks for molotovs. Although it's been known to happen. A lot (see Congratulations, Baltimore: Deadliest Year EVER and Shaun King Threatens Attack on Progressive Cities Failing to Meet #BLM Demands...).
In the very least, Black Lives Matter has fostered a culture of anti-copness, which endangers and restricts police unlike ever before. For instance, McCarthy points to effective police techniques that cops are not allowed to use any more for fear of unwarranted backlash from BLM and the press.
