Clint Eastwood's New Movie 'Sully' Honors REAL American Hero...
We love all things Clint Eastwood (see Clint Eastwood: ‘Hey Liberals, Most people DON’T Win’ and PC Liberals Furious At Clint Eastwood Over Caitlyn Jenner Joke…) just because...it's Clint Freakin Eastwood. So he releases a trailer for his new movie Sully about that hero pilot who landed the plane on the Hudson.
Because we love Eastwood, and because this pilot is an American hero, we obviously had to write about it. Especially since the movie looks awesome.
On January 15, 2009, the world witnessed the "Miracle on the Hudson" when Captain "Sully" Sullenberger (Tom Hanks) glided his disabled plane onto the frigid waters of the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 aboard. However, even as Sully was being heralded by the public and the media for his unprecedented feat of aviation skill, an investigation was unfolding that threatened to destroy his reputation and his career.
We need more movies about actual heroism than whoever the leftist "hero" of the day is based on whatever their issue of the day is. As we know, those "heroes" change all the time. And they're not actually heroes (Caitlyn Jenner, Clock-Boy to name just two). So while Hollywood is rehashing the same old garbage, or remaking movies for "new audiences" (does no one have a DVD player?), it's important to at least acknowledge fresh ideas based on actual events. Especially when those real events were awesome.
I use "awesome" there as it's actually supposed to be used. For what the pilot did that day, landing on the Hudson River, saving all passengers aboard? Awe-inspiring.
We'll be going to see Sully. We hope you'll consider it as well.
