Charlie Gard's Parents Give Up Battle for Treatment. UK Government Took Too Long...

Corey Stallings
July 24, 2017

We've been keeping you up to speed on the case of little Charlie Gard. A small ill boy in the UK, sentenced to die by his government, who refuses to allow him to receive further treatment. All along, his parents have fought the bureaucrats in their government to allow them to save his life. Well, in a sad turn of events, Charlie's parents have given up their fight to save his life.

The British parents of 11-month-old Charlie Gard, whose illness has damaged his brain and rendered him unable to breathe on his own, have decided against pursuing their controversial efforts to take him to the United States for treatment after an assessment from a U.S. doctor.

This choice will preemptively end the court proceedings and any possibility of the family transporting Charlie to the U.S.

Charlie's parents, Chris Gard and Connie Yates, gave a solemn address to the press today about their decision on the steps of the U.K. High Court.

“This is one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to say and we are about to do one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to do,” Chris Gard said, reading from a sheet of paper.

Gard said that it was no longer in his son's best interest to seek treatment, and that they have decided to let him go and "be with the angels."

I wish I could lie to you, make a couple fart jokes, and say I'm not bothered by this. But, the reality is I just want to Hulk out right about now.

We've long warned of the ugly side of socialized medicine. Leftists would claim we're exaggerating and the odd hiccup that comes along in a single-payer system is minor at the worst. Well, here we are. The worst case scenario in living color. A tiny boy doomed to die, thanks to incompetent snotweasels in an overly bureaucratic government.

This isn't the first single-payer "success story" to hit the presses, and it certainly won't be the last. It's not at all out of the ordinary for single-payer-funded doctors to turn dying people away. But, none of those horror stories have stopped leftist dunces in states like California from trying to adopt a single-payer system. Let it never be said leftists are capable of learning from their mistakes.

Think single-payer sounds like a nightmare? Well, if leftists have it their way, that nightmare will become a reality for us in the real future. Their precious Obamacare is a colossal deluge of raw sewage. Yet, the left still thinks government-run healthcare is the bee's knees. Regardless of how many dead people their system leaves in its wake.

Remember Charlie Gard the next time some leftist douchenozzle tries selling you on socialized medicine.

Like this guy.
