A funny thing happened on the way to Charlie Crist calling Hillary Clinton “honest” at a debate…Charlie Crist called Hillary Clinton “honest.”
“I think she’s been a very good secretary of state, a very good senator from the state of New York. The thing I like most about her is she is steady. I believe she is strong. I believe she is honest…”
At that point…
Again, and it’s a point I can’t hammer home enough, this is why it’s no important to engage the culture. This is why Kate McKinnon’s portrayal of Hillary on SNL was more damaging than anything the GOP had done (see SNL’s Finale Just Brutal on Hillary Clinton: ‘I really don’t like people…’ and SNL Absolutely DESTROYS Hillary Clinton. And it’s Perfect.).
It’s part of the culture that Hillary Clinton is dishonest (plus inauthentic, and also she killed a man ALLEGEDLY). People are actively laughing at politicians calling her honest. The idea anyone would think she’s honest is that laughable…Crist was heckled at a debate over it.
What difference, at this point, does it make?
Which begs a question: what other reaction was Crist hoping to receive? If he hoped to be taken seriously, either he’s lives in a bubble, or he believes the media has done its job. Making Hillary an “honest” candidate. Either way, tells you something. Leftists know as well as you and I do that Hillary is as honest as Lena Dunham is Gisele Bündchen. But they believe you and I have been fooled.
Apparently by this audience’s reaction, we haven’t been fooled. That’s a good thing.
But Hillary’s dishonesty is not the only reason to forgo pulling the Clinton lever…
