The story of Arcan Cetin - aka the Cascade Mall Shooter - just keeps destroying leftist narratives (see MEDIA LIED: Cascade Mall Shooter NOT Latino. Arcan Cetin is a Turkish Immigrant…). But this new information? It hulk smashes the gun control argument... Which, to be fair, is pretty easy to do.

You know how leftists claim they just want "common sense gun reform" to get guns out of the hands of bad people? Yeah, well Arcan Cetin was one of those bad apples. Turns out a court order banned him from LEGALLY owning a gun. So that boomstick he used? Illegal.

The young man from Washington state arrested in connection with the shooting death of five shoppers in a mall had been arrested three times for domestic violence and was barred by court order from owning a gun, according to records.

Cetin, born in Turkey and a legal permanent resident of the US, was barred by a local court from owning a gun after three arrests on domestic violence charges involving his stepfather.

Police are still seeking a motive. An FBI official said there was "no evidence" it was a terror attack, but investigators haven't yet ruled it out.

I know what you're thinking. "But if Cetin was banned from owning a gun, how did he obtain a gun?" Excellent question. If I were to guess, illegally. Because it would seem that if a criminal has the desire to kill, they'll find a way to get a gun. As most of them do (see Surprise! New Study Finds HUGE Percentage of Criminals Use Illegal Guns).

Common sense?

Ever notice how leftists throw around the word "common sense" when making their gun control arguments? Except it appears there's nothing "common sense" about it. There's nothing effective about it either. Take this promising young chap for instance. The state banned him from buying or owning guns... But that didn't do much in the way of stopping him from getting one, did it?

See, here's the thing. Serious criminals? You know, as in not Martha Stewart, but the kind who shoot up malls. Those guys have no qualms about breaking the law. So laws do diddly squat in the way of warding them off. Because criminals and illegal activity go hand in hand. Thus, gun control doesn't affect them so much. But regular, law abiding people? They get the crap end of the deal... Because the left pushes laws that make it harder for regular folk to protect themselves.

Meanwhile one guy with a court order, in a state which is no stranger to gun control laws, waltzed into a mall and commenced target practice. One guy.
