Media Lies About Carly Fiorina. Why That's GOOD For Her...
Much like unlocking an achievement in video games, there are also achievements to unlock when you are running for office as POTUS. One is when you have liberals scared, they jump to take your words out of context and lie about what you said.
This Conservative Honey Badger can officially power up, because she just unlocked one of those achievements!
She took a question about vaccines. Here's what she actually said...
“When you have highly communicable diseases where you have a vaccine that’s proven, like measles or mumps, then I think a parent can make that choice, but then I think a school district is well within their rights to say, ‘I’m sorry, your child cannot then attend public school.’ So a parent has to make that trade-off.I think when we’re talking about some of these more esoteric immunizations, then I think absolutely a parent should have a choice and a school district shouldn’t be able to say, ‘Sorry, your kid can’t come to school’ for a disease that’s not communicable, that’s not contagious, and where there really isn’t any proof that they’re necessary at this point.
Reasonable.
As a friend said on Twitter, "I would give my kid every vaccine. But the idea of the gov't forcing people to take shots still creeps me out."
So of course, the media is taking her out of context and/or straight up lying about what she said here, here, and here to start. I'm sure your low information liberal friends are sharing memes on Facebook that take her out of context too. "FACT: Carly Fiorina is an anti-vaxxer. SHARE if you agree."
FACT: Putting the word FACT in front of a declarative statement doesn't make it a FACT.
Congrats Carly! You got 'em scared!
