The last 24 hours have been long and tiresome for everybody. There have been a few silver linings though. For instance, Hillary didn't sweep in on her broomstick and snag the Oval Office. There's also been leftist tears aplenty (see TRUMP WINS ELECTION: Hillary's Liberals Lose It!). We feel for them. All that virgin sacrificing and ritual summoning for nothing. Suppose they didn't cook the spirit long enough. Next time set the broiler to high.

In the wake of Hillary's loss, Democrats were left scuttling about while looking for an escape route. As a result there have been calls to secede from the nation coming from - you guessed it - California, the putrid leftist swamp...

The term #Calexit was trending on Twitter late Tuesday in California. Some Californians are taking to social media to renew calls for a break from the United States. Another popular hashtag was #Caleavefornia.

Among those who took a stand was Silicon Valley venture capitalist Shervin Pishevar, who unleashed a string of tweets, in which he declared that he would fund "a legitimate campaign for California to become its own nation."

One group, Yes California, has been leading the charge in Sacramento to bring out a secession vote. It is planning to host an informational session about its secession plan on Wednesday outside the State Capital Building in Sacramento. On a public Facebook event page, the group says, "no matter who is elected, California deserves its independence."

I, for one, welcome their attempt to secede. Let them break off from the continent and secede right to bottom of the Pacific Ocean. Less paperwork. Also, we kindly ask that they take Amy Schumer and her three chins with them.

While many of us would be happy to be rid of the seeping Californian tumor (see CALIFORNIA: Universities to Give Millions in Financial Aid... to Illegal Immigrants), we also wouldn't mind them leaving the beaches to us as they vacate themselves instead. I hear Venezuela is lovely this time of year. It's also a socialist utopia. Just what they ordered.

This is just one of many leftist overreactions to Trump's victory so far (see LOL: Liberals CRASH Canadian Immigration Webpage After Trump Victory!). So much for "tolerance" and "diversity." Leftists don't seem interested in tolerating a President other than Hillary. Given their track record of thin-skinned wimpness, it's to be expected.
