Buzzfeed Trashes Christians/Pushes Gun Control Before Bodies Are Even Cold...
I remember when I submitted an article to BuzzFeed (just for kicks), and they responded with "we don't do opinion pieces." For real. With a straight face. Ask Ben Howe about it. He was there, and couldn't believe it.
Now their alleged news editor has opted to politicize a tragedy thirty seconds after it happened...
No no Rachel, you're confusing your imaginary "free sh**" clause with an ACTUAL right outlined in The Constitution. It gets worse.
Here's why this begs a few, very important questions.
Why does it have to be one or the other (prayer or action)? The Bible talks about "saying a prayer and setting a guard." Nehemiah 4:9 But we prayed to our God, and because of them we set up a guard against them day and night. See, praying for the victims in pain does not preclude one from being proactive toward a solution. It's for this same reason that a vast majority of global charity and humanitarian work is carried out by Bible-believing Christians... and not agnostic, pseudo-intellectual "news editors" at Buzzfeed. Rachel, I would put my tax returns, my community service, and those of any of my Christian colleagues against yours at the drop of a hat. Just say the words. How much are YOU giving to charity? How much time are YOU spending, selflessly serving your community? The challenge is open. Documentation and all.
Does Rachel not understand that movie theaters are already "gun free zones"? To be fair, it depends on the definition. But entertainment venues with a capacity of 2500 people or more, are "gun free zones." Now, the law leaves up to interpretation as to whether that would be total capacity (all 18 theaters in a multiplex for example) versus the one individual theatre. Since it's a gray area, and CCW holders tend to be law abiding citizens, movie theaters are effectively a gun free zone.
We've had two mass shootings in the last two weeks. Both of them were carried out in gun-free zones. That's the main commonality here. But even worse than all of this...
This was tweeted before the bodies were even cold. Which tells us that this chick isn't really about improving the lives and safety of Americans, but using the leftist "divide and conquer" tactic in order to generate click-traffic.
Buzzfeed is bad for America.
