Well what a shame. Sheriff Scott Israel get an overwhelming vote of no confidence for his abysmal performance before, during, and after the Parkland school shooting:
Broward County, Florida, Sheriff Scott Israel received a largely symbolic vote of no confidence on Friday from the Broward Sheriff’s Office Deputies Association, with the union vowing to ask Gov. Rick Scott to remove him from office, according to union President Jeff Bell. The vote was 534-94. Bell said it was his union’s first vote of no confidence against a sheriff.
That’s 80% of the voting deputies admitting their Sheriff has the integrity of escargot. 80% of the voting deputies agree Sheriff Israel deserves a swift kick in the nutsack for the dangerously lackluster and irresponsible “leadership” of Broward County, particularly for Parkland.
Here’s what happens next:
Jeff Bell, the president of the Broward Sheriff’s Office Deputies Association, said the union’s “members have displayed great courage to come out and vote under threat of retaliation and reprisal from the sheriff.”
He said the plan is to present the union’s vote to Gov. Rick Scott and ask him to “please make change and replace the sheriff with somebody who is capable of amazing leadership.”
Bell added, “Amazing leadership starts from the top, and there is no amazing leadership here. We are a ship out at sea with no power — adrift.”
Jeff Bell isn’t wrong. Sheriff Israel not only let several warnings of the Parkland shooting pass him by, he then proceeded to blame his failures on the NRA. A group that had as much to do with Parkland as Israel has with ethics. For a quick recap:

Actions have consequences. Sheriff Israel is finally being dealt his long due comeuppance. Karma’s a bitch, Sheriff.
