Country music superstar and "The Voice" mentor Blake Shelton recently sent Twitter into a tizzy with what's been called a "Twitter rant."

No one really knows what brought this "rant" on. Plus, this isn't the first time Blake has used his celebrity to speak out on important issues like our incompetent President, our incompetent foreign policy, or how smoking hot his wife is.

Contrast that from his "The Voice" colleague Adam Levine's political tweets.

God, I can't stand that guy. Then again, this is an instance where, as an actual man, my bias is likely showing.

Setting aside the irony that listening to a "rant" from a celebrity about how you shouldn't listen to a celebrity requires you listening to a celebrity (whoa, that's meta)... this is a teachable moment. Compare the two celebrities: the liberal wants to tell you what to think, the conservative is encouraging you to think for yourself. Also, the liberal in this case is a douche.

Snarkily, the last thing the conservative movement needs is more country singers. However with a weekly platform on NBC and a social media audience that dwarfs all of our candidates combined, we're glad to have Blake as part of the team.
