Bill Banning Child Marriage Gets Struck Down in Pakistan. Guess Why...

Brodigan
January 18, 2016

You would think ending child marriage, where a child is forced to marry a grown man, would be something we could all agree on. Common ground, right? Right?

... riiiiiight?

Ah crap, here it comes. A bill to do just that was rejected in Pakistan. You know, home of "moderate" Muslims. And you'll never guess why.

Actually, yes you will.

Legislation to ban child marriages was struck down in Pakistan as the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) said it was “anti-Islamic” and “blasphemous.” The new law failed at the first stage of the legislative process.

The Child Marriage Restraint (Amendment) Bill 2014, which would have made it more difficult for children to marry, was quickly withdrawn on Thursday by Marvi Menon of the Pakistan Muslim League party.

The decision to pull the plug on the anti-pedophilia bill was triggered by CII speaking out against the idea. The council provides advice for lawmakers on whether the newly proposed laws comply with Sharia laws.

The proposed legislation was shut down in its infancy on “purely religious grounds,” The Express Tribune reported.

Yes. In Pakistan. The unwilling forced marriage of child-brides. Is protected. Because Islam.

This isn't shocking though. Abuse of women is rampant in Islamic culture. From beating/raping wives for being disrespectful, to spending time with another man without her husband present, to even for drinking water without permission. It's a part of their rich and historic culture. Stop judging. You racist.

So those are the results. Those are undeniable. In Islamic countries, women are abused far more than in non-Islamic countries. Across the board, throughout history, always, period. Okay? Okay.

So if we can all acknowledge the results, it's time to trace Pakistan's step backwards. What led them down the trail to here? Well, little known fact: Muhammad himself (pedophelia be upon him) not only had a child bride... but he beat her too. Yes, Muhammad (domestic abuse be upon him) did in fact, beat his wife Aisha. The girl whom he wed when she was merely six years old. Though in his defense, some argue that he only consummated the marriage when she was nine! What nine year old child-bride doesn't want to get busy with a hairy, bearded 50-something year old, right? It's a natural progression for girls at that age. Tea parties, my little pony, rape. Girls will be girls!

Don't believe me? Watch the video below citing chapter and verse. Then do a little digging of your own. I encourage you to take "The Qur'an Challenge" and read it for yourself. Maybe then you'll understand why Pakistan (and the rest of the Islamic world) follows the legal trends that they do. And it has nothing to do global warming Climate Change.
