Ah, remember last year? 2015 was a mild tummy ache compared to the diarrhea dungeon of 2016 (see 2016: The World Has Officially Gone Mad. And I'm DONE...). We had problems then, too, of course. The events of last year were simply foreshadowing the leftist crazy that was to come. Speaking of which, here's an especially relevant clip we came across from last year.

This one comes courtesy of Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. One of Jerry's guests was LwC favorite, Bill Burr (see Bill Burr Mocks Anti-Trump Celebrities ‘Moving to Canada’… and Bill Burr Talks Trump Driving Liberal Hollywood Insane). In this clip Burr is talking specifically about social justice warriors going after comics, but it really applies to everything they rage about today...

Just because you took what I said seriously, doesn't mean I now meant it. You don't get to decide, like...now you're in my head and you know my intent? If I'm saying something and I'm joking, I'm joking. Those people who get offended by that? If they want to see stand up comedy, they should hire a comic for a private show and go 'these are the topics you can talk about, these are the topics you don't.' So you come in to the hostile environment of a comedy club, and we get to say whatever we want.

The amount of times they've shown clips, 'controversy at the Laugh Factory.' And they show the bit and the whole crowd laughed. There was no controversy. One person got pissed and write a blog. It's a lazy story.

The relevance is heavy with this one. This past year there has been a pattern of comedians being forced to apologize for jokes. Or worse (see Canada: Comedian Mike Ward Fined $35k... for 'Offensive' Jokes?!). It seems as though the left is currently seeking to punish comedians for funny jokes. Possibly because they, themselves, tend to be walking punchlines. And if you offend them? Jokes on you, because you get to pay...

By the way, someone want to show this to leftist phlegm wads currently calling for an end to "fake news"? Lazy liberal journalism is running rampant today. And not just when it comes to fake controversy (see CAUGHT: CNN Tries to Cover Up Story Falsely Accusing Trump of Voter Fraud)...

Alas, this will likely fall on deaf, liberal ears. Still, it's refreshing to see saneness coming from comedians currently entrenched in Hollywood's political correctness. Of course, anything to do with Bill Burr tends to be the gift that keeps giving.

Though to be fair - if it wasn't for lazy stories, leftists would get no attention...
