Let history show Donald Trump's winning strategy of nicknaming. We have him to thank for Crooked Hillary, Rocket Man, and now "Schumer's Shutdown." Usually a shutdown, regardless of party responsible, would be blamed on the Republicans. For no other reason than a DNC fax sent from on high, commanding media outlets to echo a pre-ordained narrative. But Donald Trump's administration opened its trench coat to the world first, flashing them with a BOO! sign. Because, as Ben Shapiro lays out, the shutdown was a defeat for the Democrats.

Who'd have guessed the Republicans would come out victorious after a government shutdown, specifically Mitch McConnell? A senator who has, heretofore, been best known for his striking resemblance to a frog. Not the meme kind, the kind that stares at you while you sleep.

Schumer and his dark-dwelling cohorts in government revealed a few things with such a quick surrender to the Trump administration.

1. The plan was to throw a tantrum over a shutdown, relying heavily on media blaming the Republicans. Failure level: high-diving belly flop.
2. Schumer, despite his striking resemblance to a cackling media villain, has the strategic acumen of a Q-tip.
3. Trump branding with clever insults works. Shockingly well. Has he yet labeled Nancy Pelosi? Because I have some ideas if he's stumped.

How this will all shake out, as it relates to Democrats and Republicans squabbling over people who should've never sashayed across the border illegally, is yet to be seen. But I better hear bricks being laid for a menacing wall. A sound rivaled only by the shrill cries from leftist face holes.
