How hot? We told you about him beating Donald Trump in the Iowa polls, but now he's taken over #1 in the national polls!

Donald Trump has boasted that he's "leading every poll and in most cases big." Not anymore. The latest IBD/TIPP Poll shows him in second place, seven points behind Ben Carson.

The nationwide survey found that 24% of Republicans back Carson, compared with 17% who say they support Trump.

Marco Rubio came in third with 11% and Carly Fiorina fourth at 9%. Jeb Bush, once considered a prohibitive favorite, ranked fifth with just 8% support, which was a point lower than those who say they are still undecided.

Side note; LOL at Jeb Bush. Remember when he was going to be the "establishment" favorite? Now the "establishment" seems to be going for Marco Rubio...which, LOL at them too since they were the ones who want Rubio to wait his turn for Charlie Crist.

Yes, that Charlie Crist.

As for Ben Carson...

A big reason as to why Carson is leading nationally? He's been under constant attack from the media since he started gaining momentum in the polls. It's like clockwork. Trump leads? They attack Trump. Fiorina surges? They attack Fiorina. Ben Carson gets popular, all guns on Carson. Meanwhile, Hillary and Bernie enjoy soft-ball questions and intellectually masturbatory interviews from people like Chuck Todd and Stephonopoulos.

Never has the media's blatant disregard to objectivity been on display. So Dr. Ben Carson, thanks for helping to shine a light on it.

The next debate is on Wednesday on CNBC. Do the other candidates start to go after Ben Carson now? Or do they try to finish off Trump?
