Australia gets a lot of things wrong, especially when it comes to Islam (read It's Now Illegal to Criticize Muslims in Australia. But it appears they've grown tired of erring on the stupid side and are trying their hand at doing something right.

In order to limit their citizens' exposure to things like rape and terrorism, they've revamped their citizenship process in an attempt to ward off certain (Islamic) migrants who don't share Australian values...

To become citizens applicants will need to have been a permanent resident for four years - up from 12 months now - face a stand-alone English test and commit to embracing Australian values.

[Immigration minister] Mr Dutton even announced he would like the pledge of commitment to contain the phrase "allegiance to Australia." The government [will] crack down on domestic violence under the new laws, if someone was convicted of a crime they [will] have their citizenship revoked.

"It is not a part of who we are as a country to treat women poorly or abuse them sexually. We need to ensure that our citizenship test enables applicants to demonstrate how they have integrated into and engaged with our Australian community, so that they're part of the community. Australian citizenship should be honoured, cherished. It is a privilege."

If Australia actually pulls this off, they'll be leagues ahead of their European counterparts in terms of national security. But some cryholes are none too pleased with these new changes...

In 2017, being anti-rape officially means you're Islamophobic according to the left. And this is the party who fancies itself the sole champion of all things women's rights. The same party which marvels when they lose elections. Pick your country.

I'm starting to notice a trend, tell me if you're noticing it too: people are less concerned with being labeled "racist" or "Islamophobic" (two terms which have lost much meaning over the few past years due to their constant overuse and abuse) and more concerned with keeping their heads in their proper location.
