An Atheist and a vegan walk into a bar. I know this because they made sure everyone knew within five minutes. I also know, because I've heard that joke eleventy hundred times.

Now, we here at LwC are tolerant of any opposing viewpoint regardless of how terrible and wrong it is.  We don't have a problem with moderate Atheists. It's the radical Atheists fundamentalists always trying to push their not beliefs on you. For a people who don't believe in anything, they sure are militant about it.

Cracked had a funny smackdown at why Atheists are terrible (written by one of their own), but there was one part I thought particularly stood out.

Again, there's an irony in calling yourself a freethinker yet being so insecure in your beliefs that you lash out at anyone who disagrees with you. If you're so confident that you're right, why the need to shove your beliefs into the faces of people you're never going to sway?

This is where atheism most resembles modern liberalism, because that describes the way every liberal acts whenever you disagree with them about anything... ever. Think an atheist bakery owner should be allowed to refuse to make a cake for a First Communion a bakery owner has the right to say no? Bigot. Think Hillary has been less that forthcoming? You hate women. Think liberals have been less than honest about (solve for x)? Go die in a puddle of AIDS.

If only more moderate Atheists had the courage to call out the extremists.
