I love a good story about old people kicking ass, don't you? Well, feel free to add this one to the list along with the rest (see Video: Grandpa Who's Tired of Trespasser's Crap Throws Him Off a Roof and Masked Robber Terrified by 80-Year Old Grandpa with Gun...). An 84-year-old veteran kicked the youth out of not one but TWO armed robbers who thought they'd push him around. Not today, youngins.

An 84-year-old man shot one intruder to death and fought off a second one at his Lawrence County home early Friday morning, police said.

"Two guys tried to rob me, and I killed one of them," Don Lutz said.

Lutz, a Korean War veteran, said that he was asleep at his home on Jamison Avenue when he heard the sound of someone breaking in the front door. He grabbed a gun that was underneath his pillow and encountered two men in the hallway.

"I just fired one (shot). It was in the dark, and he attacked me, and we were close and I shot him," Lutz said. "I scuffled with them on the floor, and the one guy rolled over dead, and the other guy, he jumped up and he ran out the front door."

The Army veteran said he's a little sore, but otherwise OK, and that his faith got him through it.

His faith in the good Lord got him through it, yes. But methinks that boom stick he had at the ready also played a role in saving his tush. Why not both? Let's go with both.

The Second Amendment enables the most vulnerable among us to protect themselves. It's been proven time and time again. You'd think the left would be able to appreciate this, what with their claims of looking out for the little guy. Yet according to anti-Second Amendment activists, Grandpa Grab-a-Gun here shouldn't have the right to defend himself with such tools. Instead, he should have called 911 and twiddled his thumbs while sitting in duck-like fashion. How compassionate.
