Anti-Trump Hating Left Has a New Target: St. Jude's Children's Hospital
I understand some people are passionate about their dislike for politicians. Especially when that politician's name rhymes with Ronald Frump (see Tolerant Liberal Attacks Trump Supporters at a Whataburger and CIVILITY: Maxine Waters’ Most Stupid Drones Harasses Mitch McConnell at His Home). I just can't imagine attacking St. Jude's Children's hospital, or the parent of a kid who is battling cancer, just because that parent thanked Trump.
If this describes you, you are a garbage human being. Who just simply sucks at life.
Last month a Tennessee radio host thanked Eric Trump and St. Jude for their help in nephew’s cancer fight along with their continuing support as he deals with the after-effects of his treatment. Trump retweeted her tweet and it kicked off a round of criticism for this family that was personal and even questioned whether her nephew (Zach) was really sick. Yesterday, tweeted that her nephew was cancer free.In what became a #WalkAway video, she explained that all she wanted to do was say thank you, but that opened her and her nephew up to social media vitriol.
Donald Trump, in a number of instances, seems to bring out the worst in everyone. Both supporters and detractors. Multiply that by social media and the square root of tribalism, and you have a lot of people who are angry about everything all the time. The same people who've never picked up a dumbbell.
I can't imagine being so angry that I would channel that anger at a parent or a child fighting cancer, just because that parent thanked THE SON of the politician I don't like. We have a practice not to get outraged on this site. But dang it, attacking a parent because they just thanked someone who's father you don't like? If that's you, let me say again: you're terrible at this "human being" thing. Tie a cinder block to your foot. Tag your woke friends. Go play Marco Polo in a lake. Preferably one infested with leeches. Lather, rinse, make it a YouTube trend.
