Ron DeSantis Continues Dominance of Disney, Reacts to Leaked Video of Disney Corporate President

Disney is going bananas over Florida legislation they didn't care about until employees whined. Yes, THAT BILL. The Parental Rights in Education/Don't Say Gay/Anti-Grooming Bill: it depends on your mood. An all-hands meeting was called at the Mouse House to discuss how they were going to handle it. Video leaked to rabble-rouser Christopher Rufo. Tucker Carlson showed a clip of Disney Corporate President Karey Burke to Ron DeSantis. Surprising to no one, DeSantis was not amused.

He also asks an important question.

“You’ve gotta wonder, why is the hill to die on to have transgenderism injected into kindergarten classrooms or woke gender ideology injected into second-grade classrooms?”

In all the debate over the bill, or really any bill, questions are always framed the way liberal activists want them framed. So it becomes a question of how someone could possibly support a bill that "critics" call the 'Don't Say Gay' bill. There's a partisan reason for that. When people read the bill or are informed of what the bill actually says, they don't oppose it. Hence all the polling that shows majorities supporting the bill EXCEPT for progressives. Even Democrats support the bill.

The question needs to be asked the other way. Why do OPPONENTS of the bill disagree with: "Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards."

Why is it so important for OPPONENTS to push sex and gender on five-year-olds? So much so, those OPPONENTS seem obsessed with it? If America had an institution whose sole purpose was to extract truth from power, we might get an answer. Instead, we have a mainstream media made up of liberal activists.
