Alec Baldwin's lawyer claims him pulling the trigger of a gun that killed a woman not the 'critical report'

Lawyers to failed Trump impersonator Alec Baldwin are denying an FBI report that says the actor pulled the trigger of the gun he was aiming at a woman. Even if the report was true, Baldwin's lawyers insist it's not the important report. I was of the impression this week that you are not allowed to question the FBI ever. Alec has celebrity privilege.

Last October, tragedy struck when Alec Baldwin was rehearsing a scene with cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. The gun Baldwin was holding and pointing at her went off and killed her. Alec swears he didn't pull the trigger, even though an expert in both acting and firearms says that's unlikely. Alec, who (allegedly) refused to take a gun safety course, blamed other people for not knowing the gun was loaded. Then he blamed Halyna Hutchins. Last Friday, the FBI released a report allegedly stating the gun used in the fatal shooting on the New Mexico movie set could not have been fired without pulling the trigger.

Now, Baldwin's lawyers insist the FBI report is misconstrued and maintain that Baldwin did not pull the trigger. But even if the report is true, it's not the important report. The important report is the one that came from Santa Fe authorities: "The critical report is the one from the medical examiner, who concluded that this was a tragic accident."

As of this writing, the FBI report has not been released to the public.

I don't think that the shooting being a tragic incident is in question. The rub is Alec Baldwin being a douchebag about it and going on a "don't blame me" tour. Don't take my word for it. Ask Halyna Hutchin's family how they feel. "I was just so angry to see him talk about her death so publicly in such a detailed way and then to not accept any responsibility after having just described killing her. Almost sounds like he was the victim, hearing him blame Halyna in the interview and shift responsibility to others, and seeing him cry about it. I just feel like, 'Are we really supposed to feel bad about you, Mr. Baldwin?'"

If Alec would have shut up and gone away for a bit, an FBI report claiming the actor lied about not pulling the trigger wouldn't be newsy.
