Ace Hardware Resumes Advertising with Fox News and Laura Ingraham
Maybe we should measure news cycles in dog years. All those companies boycotting Laura Ingraham on account of chinless dinkus David Hogg seems like a lifetime ago (see Ben Shapiro Weighs in On Laura Ingraham/David Hogg Feud and Bill Maher Defends Laura Ingraham Against Leftist Boycotters). Now, some of those companies are starting to come back. The first being Ace Hardware.
The information we had at the time of the initial request was incomplete and we apologize for that.
Someone must have realized that the people claiming they were boycotting don't do things like construction. Or yard work. Really, any work with their hands. Apart from some ferocious tweeting.
We purchase time slots that target our audience on over 30 cable networks and news programs including Fox News, CNBC, CNN, and MSNBC. Advertising on any network or show, is in no way an endorsement from Ace of the content contained or spoken within that program. We appreciate the different points of view from our customers, and believe people should be treated with respect and civility. At this time, we have not altered our current media schedule; however, we regularly review our media strategy.
I guess we can cut Ace a little slack. Especially since they're repenting of their dumbassery. Whoever manages their social media probably saw a bunch of angry tweets incoming. Some from celebrities and "influencers." They reported it to their supervisors. Their supervisors panicked and jumped ship. It happens.
These sudden outrages are usually made-up by lefty activists, and purely for political reasons. Often, lefties will boycott goods and services they never use in the first place. Their only goal is to bully their target out of a job. While simultaneously squealing about the horrors of being bullied. How ironic.
It's all good, Ace. We forgive you.
