Concealed Carry Customer Drops Hatchet-Swinging Mad Man at 7-Eleven

Brodigan
March 14, 2016

Average citizens with concealed carry licenses are sometimes heroes in waiting. Seriously (see here, here, here, and here). This Washington State 7-Eleven patron is no exception.

A masked man attacked a Burien 7-Eleven clerk Sunday morning with a hatchet, slicing the clerk's stomach. Police say a customer pulled out a gun and shot and killed the attacker. The good Samaritan had been sitting in the store, drinking his regular morning coffee. The 60-year-old is a regular customer and a licensed concealed gun carrier, according to the sheriff's office.

This is why God gave us concealed carry licenses. I always love being reminded why the Second Amendment matters (read Dear Liberals: Just Admit it. You Loathe Our Second Amendment). You know who probably wishes he'd read up on the Second Amendment? The dead guy. Too little too late. See what I did there? The outcome of this little dustup would have been much different if all the good Samaritan had to protect himself (and everyone else) was, say, some pepper spray. Or his piping hot coffee. Better than a "hatchet free zone" sign and a lecture, but probably wouldn't do much in the way of stopping an axe. Just a guess.

So some nutcase saunters into 7-Eleven with the intent to hack and wack. Though thanks to Mr. Gun Toter, we'll never have an official motive. Put that in the pro column. Then this by-standing SIXTY year old badass, minding his own business, decided he wasn't going to have any of that. Coffee first, hatchets never. Not only did he keep his cool, he managed to save his life and the lives of others without landing himself so much as a scratch. Or a coffee burn. Mad skills right there. Turns out guns are pretty effective when it comes to putting bad guys on (or in) the ground.

I'm telling the truth! There stories like this all the time. I get them delivered to my inbox daily. Good guys with guns stop bad guys with guns. This story is different because there were plenty of witnesses and the attacker came in with flair. But good guys shooting bad guys is not uncommon. The left just doesn't like to talk about it so much. What with it undermining their guns are super bad narrative. Also, give them your money.

Armed citizens means more people are able to protect each other... Although the left would have you believe otherwise. Case in point: don't listen when people say the right to bear arms means more gun violence. Especially when that person is someone like Obama. He's a phoney. The secret service isn't armed with rape whistles.
