Man identifies as woman and SMASHES national women's weightlifting competition: "Thank you for such a supportive event"
Congratulations go out to Vicki Piper. Ms. Piper is a competitive weightlifter who won her first national weightlifting event in the women's division and who also used to be a man born with all the natural and biological strength advantages men have. At this point, it was not a glass ceiling-shattering performance. Women born as men have been destroying so much of the competition in women's (and girls') athletic contests, there's nothing special about it anymore.
Vicki won the 76-kilogram weight category, which is a little over 165 pounds in normal American units of measurement. The way it works, there is are two lifts: a snatch and a clean and jerk. The heaviest lift is recorded. To be clear, "jerk" refers to a type of lift and not what you would call a man who robs women of opportunities.
