Usually when there's a story about a kid opening a stand on their front law, it's about the government shutting them down because they aren't licensed to sell lemonade. Ask us again why we're not fans of an oppressive, overly-stuffed, overly-important government. Seriously. Ask.

This story isn't about lemonade, or a little kid being shuffled out of business by the government though. Because this kid opened a history stand instead.

8-year-old Gabe Fulmerhouser isn't offering up a cool, sweet treat this summer. Instead, the Michigan boy is selling history lessons.

"History is very special to the world," said Gabe.

Gabe has always loved history.

"Since I was 3 years old," he said.

For 25 cents, you can visit Gabe's red, white, and blue booth near the corner of Glenwood Avenue and Fourth Street in Jackson, and learn about history.

For this soon to be 3rd grader, you won't find action figures or sports gear in his hands; instead it's Civil War books and presidential flashcards.

From his grandfathers to his own father, Gabe's family has a history of serving this country and that's part of the reason he's so patriotic.

So when we read stories about Black Lives Matter, or how the TrigglyPuffs of the world are spewing their incessant hate of logical all over college campuses, it's good to remember not every being who identifies as human is a waste of carbon. This little boy loves history, he loves America, he's spreading that love.

Sure, there will be a leftist out there who will bash him anyway. Because he's a boy. Because he's white. Because he loves the military. Especially because he loves America. Well screw those leftists. To them I say, take your pitiful lectures and shove them up your elitist rectums. This little boy is a national treasure. We're going to treasure him.
