Attorney General Loretta Lynch says we may never known the motives of the Orlando Shooting Terror Attack. Perhaps if she read through her own redacted notes, she'd get a clue. Alas, leftists suffer from severe cases of "only conservatives are evil-itis." But you know who may have an inkling about the (rather obvious) motive? Mohammed A. Malik.

Malik went to the same mosque as the killer, and tried warning the FBI in 2014...

Malik said that in 2014, another member of their community became the first American-born suicide bomber in Syria. Moner Mohammad Abu-Salha, 22, drove a truck full of explosive into a government building after becoming self-radicalized through the lectures of Anwar al-Awlaki.

"That's when Omar told me he had been watching videos of Awlaki, too, which immediately raised red flags for me. He told me the videos were very powerful," Malik wrote.

Awlaki's tapes have radicalized many, including the Fort Hood shooter, according to Malik.

He contacted the FBI to say that Mateen had been watching the videos, but had not committed any acts of violence and that he wasn't planning any to Malik's knowledge.

"I thought he probably wouldn't, because he didn't fit the profile: He already had a second wife and a son. But it was something agents should keep their eyes on," Malik wrote.

First, kudos to Malik for seeing something and saying something. People saw something but didn't say something in San Bernardino, and you saw what happened there. It also appears as if Malik here is one of the legendary but elusive "moderate Muslims." Again, kudos. We need more moderate Muslims to speak out.

Unfortunately the FBI still dropped the ball here. You would think someone from a mosque, saying one of his fellow mosque-ers was a bit... un-peaceful would've fired off a few of those symbolic red (or rainbow) flags. Enough flags, one would have assumed, would've been raised to keep the case open. The FBI can't even claim Islamophobia or that they didn't want to profile...Mateen was reported by someone else who was Muslim. Alas, no. We can speculate all day long why the FBI decided to drop this case, but the fact is, Mateen was a killer. The FBI was warned.

If I had to venture a guess, political correctness played a part here. After all, the left is desperately clinging to their narrative of ISLAM IS THE RELIGION OF PEACE, and have done and will do whatever it takes to protect that narrative. Even if it means covering up the real motive.

While the FBI is not keeping Mateen, a real killer, on their radar, remember, this is the same incompetent agency and government leftists want to decide who has Second Amendment rights and who does not. This is the same government who wants to disarm people who've done nothing wrong... while turning a perfectly-seeing eye away from actual threats.
