You wouldn't know about it from the lack of attention it's been getting, but there was a big win for the pro-life movement this week in South Carolina, outlawing abortion after 19 weeks.

The legislation will head to the desk of Gov. Nikki Haley (R). The Republican said in March she will almost certainly sign it but wants to look at the details once it reaches her.

The South Carolina bill is among several fronts that abortion rights advocates say make having the procedure tougher. Abortion opponents have also passed laws in other states requiring clinics to get admitting privileges for doctors and banning a procedure commonly used in the second trimester.

The sponsor of South Carolina’s bill, Rep. Wendy Nanney (R), said she’s hopeful that the law is a step to eventually “get rid of abortion altogether.”

“I firmly believe life begins at conception, and anything we can do to protect human life I’m all for,” she said.

No, this doesn't have to do with something Donald Trump said on Twitter, but this is an important victory that needs more real estate in the press. And it's one to remember when you hear people claim that "conservatives don't win and just roll over for liberals." As a matter of fact, the only place where I stumbled across this story... was a rageful, liberal site amidst the death throws of their defeat.

The victories are happening and are happening all across America at the state and local level. But if liberals are furious about it... and your "conservative" sites are more focused on targeting #NeverTrump and twitter drama, what's the purpose of alternative media at all?

This victory is a big one. As big as any pro-life victory on a state level in the last decade. See, because unlike lefist extremists like President Obama who claim to want to help the vulnerable, this actually helps the most vulnerable. You know, helpless babies.
